The Twilight Zone

Imagine if you will, a great country filled with honest, hard working people, working together to build businesses and raise their families. Slowly, a plague infects the land. The pandemic seems to affect the minds of fifty percent of the population. Their minds become warped, and incapable of reason and common sense. They turn from the things that used to produce greatness in their country and become a mass of whining, sniveling idiots believing in anything that promises to fill their empty lives with a false sense of euphoria. The plague becomes a permanent mental handicap in the country from which it produces it's own leadership which then promotes and sells the sickness to the rest of the people. Enough of the citizens are affected for a short time to allow the infected leaders to take over the country. The once great land gradually becomes a cesspool of confused and corrupt ideas that continue to drag it into the abyss of history. The plague infested leaders gloat as they pridefully watch the results of their own destruction. There is no escape. For the next four years, you're in, The Twilight Zone.

Scud, with conservatives and alcoholics, recognizing your problem is the first step along the path to help. By these comments, it's apparent you've finally taken that all important first step. Though you seem to have lost track of time, it was the last eight years that we were in the The Twilight Zone. A hangover, political or otherwise, can cause that.

BO's budget for fiscal year 2010 is projected to be $4 trillion which will send the federal deficit skyrocketing to $1.75 trillion. He is also expected to ask congress for an additional $200 billion for the war effort. Meanwhile, jobless claims are at a 26 year high.

Congratulations America. Yes You Can and Yes You Did. Bask in the glory of what you have brought on yourselves. Feel the hope. Feel the change.

What a disappointment, Old Scud's relapsed already.

JR is suddenly concerned with deficits yet I never heard this concern during the previous administrations. Fiscal irresponsibility began with Ronald W. Reagan and accelerated with Dorkus W. Dildo. Reagan doubled the Federal deficit and Dorkus quintupled it.

I understand the readers of this blog may have philosophical differences with this budget. Some would prefer large tax breaks for their CEO but I'm in the Under $250,000.00 Club so I prefer the proposed structure. But, you know, I'm sure your CEO is worth every penny.

Regardless, there's a lot to like about this budget. For one thing its projections are ten years as opposed to five projections which were preferred by the previous administration. It also includes money for disaster management and Bush's War. I know this may surprise some of you, but Jesus is gonna hurl some disasters at us in FY2009 just like he did in every year of the Bush administration. (Which is odd because Bush really hated Teh Gays.)

Goodbye America, you had a good run. But, like all great civilizations down through the ages, your demise is inevitable. The greatest democracy ever constructed is now under total siege by a flagrantly socialist regime. BO and his army don't even try and hide it. Of course, this is what liberals have always hoped for. These are the best of times for Marxists everywhere.

As democrats chortle endlessly about the deficit left behind by W, they conveniently ignore the fact that their spending spree will QAUDRUPLE the Bush debt in just matter of a few months. What this country desperately needs is LESS government. Way less. Unfortunately, the voters have given the keys to the liquor store to the worst liberal, big-government, entitlement-addicted, socialist drunks in U.S. history. Way to go.

Honestly, what we are witnessing in Washington is complete madness. It's insanity of such magnitude and scope that it's difficult to put it into words. The darkest of days are coming.

The madness about which JR speaks occurred between 2001 and 2009. Republicans were entrusted to manage several hundred billion in black ink. They failed miserably. What incentive do Democrats have to re-balance the books for the next Republican to squander? I want high speed rail, greater highway throughput and a modernized electric grid. Build here! Build now!

I wouldn't mind a system closer to what you Flyovers propose. The midwest has too much space and too few people. Without Federal money you can't afford your own infrastructure. The only profitable rail in the entire country is the Northeast corridor yet trains continue to run in the rest of the country. Every state in the Northeast (with the exception of Maine) pays more Federal taxes than it receives. We finance your asses. Show a little appreciation.

Famous quotes:

"A new era of responsibility."

-Obongo

"OMG! He's so sexy! I love him!"

-Typical Obongo supporter while watching BO bump and grind with Ellen DeGenerate on YouTube

"There's a lot to like about this budget."

-Jeff

"How does debt counseling work on Planet Libdem? When you're in over your head by 10 times your annual income, you go out and get 30 more credit cards, max them out, and go into debt 50 times your annual income. It makes total sense."

-JR

OK, so federal outlays will soar in fiscal 2009 to $4 trillion, 27.7% of GDP. This is higher as a share of the economy than any year since 1945, when the country was still mobilized for WWII. But let's assume, for the sake of argument, that Obongo is right that this spending is needed now to jump start the economic recovery. Though the budget predicts that the economy will recover in 2010, spending will still be 24.1% of GDP that year, and the budget proposes that spending will remain higher than 22% for the entire next decade even as the defense budget steadily declines.

The 2009 budget deficit is estimated to be a whopping 12.7% of GDP. Obongo's crew predicts that this will decline to 3.5% by 2012. Right.

The biggest illusion in this budget is its optimistic forecast. BO believes that the economy will decline by only 1.2% this year and then will grow by 3.2% next year. This assumes the recovery will begin later this year and gather steam quickly to return to normal levels of growth. By 2010 to 2013, the budget adds, the economy will be cooking by an average of 4% per year, which is also how it conjures up a magical deficit reduction.

This growth is a lovely thought, but how? The only impetus for growth in this budget comes from the government spending more money that it is taking out of the job-producing private economy. With $1 trillion of new entitlements, $1.4 trillion in new taxes, and $5 trillion in new debt, America's entrepreneurs are not getting any help soon from Washington.

The Dems will push all this through ASAP while BO is still in his honeymoon and they can blame everything on W, a typical trick. But Americans are only beginning to understand the magnitude of BO's ambitions, and how much of their own income will be required to fulfill them.

Yep, there's a lot to like about this budget indeed. I know I'm excited about it. Investors clearly like it too as evidenced by the DJIA, down another 300 points today to 1997 levels.

Here's shocker, and this time I mean two in the pink: Guess who purchases the most online pr0n? That's right, Red Staters. The very people who waste our time with complaints about pr0n are the ones who buy the most.

Yes, I said "buy." The study was based on anonymous credit card purchases. The Internets are like 99.99% pr0n and much of that comes to you. Get an email address and in 22 seconds your inbox is loaded with nekkid. These people need sooooo much pr0n they've exhausted the free stuff and they've purchased some more.

From the article: "Eight of the top 10 pornography consuming states gave their electoral votes to John McCain in last year's presidential election – Florida and Hawaii were the exceptions. While six out of the lowest 10 favored Barack Obama." You guys hate disabilities acts but if any one needs a Braille ballot its you moral values voters....

Just read JR's latest screed. Lemme just say, a Republican has about as much say on fiscal responsibility as a priest does on day-time child care.

Now why do you have to go attacking us priests? Even you have to admit that alter boy outfits make 12 year olds look freaking hot!

Scud implores us to look at history. Okay, sure, let's look at it. In 2003, a Republican Congress passed and a Republican President signed the Medicare Prescription Drug Act. During the debate, the Bush Administration suppressed the actual cost of the measure. The Bushies threatened to fire the Medicare Chief Actuary if he revealed its true cost. After it became law, the actual projection was reported to be $534 billion dollars. That's right folks, a Republican controlled government was responsible for the BIGGEST entitlements program of the last 40 years. Now Scud denounces entitlements while JR deplores deficits. Let's cut the crap. You're FOR Republican spending initiatives and AGAINST Democratic ones. The End.

Famous quote:

"Barack's name ain't Jesus. Barack ain't gonna improve your child's reading score. There are things we've got to do on our own."

-Reverend Wright, BO's spiritual mentor

And the hits just keep coming. You can't write comedy this good. Here we have everyone's favorite white-hating, racist madman, the esteemed Reverend Wright, one of BO's closest buddies, spewing more of his wonderful logic for the world to read. Poor BO, I'll bet he'd love to dispatch a CIA sniper just to shut this dope up forever (Gasp! "Quick, call the Intolerant Police!"). Oh well, it is what it is.

On to other things, it is becoming painfully clear that our Kenyan-born President Disaster is finding that running for president is far easier than being president. The list of broken campaign promises keeps growing, inciting anger from both the left and right. The only good news in this colossal mess is that it's a fair bet Obongo will only be a one-termer, thank God. By 2012, America, whatever is left of it, will be so worn down, battered, and beaten, that they will vote for a possum, just to get this idiot out of the oval office.

Keep bashing Bush, comrades. It's your only defense in trying to prop-up what is clearly turning out to be absolute worst president in American history.

It's bad enough that Obongo's black. But what's really intolerable to those of us in the Rushpublican Party, is that his father wasn't even a native born native.

He'll never be the president Bush was.

JR fails to understand his critics. Bush bashing was so 2003. At issue is Republican reaction to Obama's policies in light of Republican inaction to Bush policies. Scud bemoans entitlements but stood by idly when Bush signed the largest entitlements program in forty years. JR bemoans deficit spending but said nothing when Bush turned budgetary surplus into a half trillion dollar deficit. Neither voiced concern when Bush spent billions in a vain effort to rebuild Iraqi infrastructure but each had a brain conniption when Obama proposed domestic infrastructure improvements. You flyovers wouldn't voice that last concern if you knew what traffic congestion was. Build here, build now!
