Unbelievable.

Normally I'd try to go to bed and let myself cool down before I try to write anything, but I know I couldn't sleep anyway so I'll try to express my outrage without getting myself in legal trouble. So last night I get an email from wikileaks.org, a leftist web site who's mission is to take anonymous leaked information and use it to further whatever agenda serves them. In the past they have found it necessary to publish Swiss Bank account information for the super rich around the world for which they were sued and forced to shut down for a while, or publicizing Sara Palin's personal email address along with photos of her kids. Today, they have decided to publish some 51,000 names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, employers, credit card numbers and security codes of all those who dared to engage in that antiquated American tradition of utilizing the first amendment and donating money and support to a political candidate. In this case, Norm Coleman happens to be from the wrong party, therefore, he and his supporters are fair game for the brownshirts of the left.

The funny thing to me is that they can willfully destroy or at least disrupt someone's life with a smile on their face and a guilt free conscience. The geek that supposedly came upon this information ever so innocently is the subject of the photo above, Adria Richards, founder of Aden Networks. she's a self professed tree hugger and "organic technology consultant". To watch her youtube description of how simple it was to hack this information, it would seem that she was simply picking up a lost notebook and then deciding to release it to the world as a means of reminding others to not lose their notebooks. Ahh, I don't think so. Personally I would love to hurt this person, not physically of course, but I might just smile if her business suddenly changed in a way that put her in line to wait for a Dalai Bama Bail Out.

After Adria Richards stole the ball, she ever so innocently handed it off to wikileaks who's only mission is to disrupt and destroy those who they don't agree with. this organization has leaked sensitive military intel, spread misleading propaganda regarding Iraq and Guitmo, published personal banking records of innocent citizens, and private documents of various religious groups. The bottom line is that they are the modern day brownshirts of Nazi Germany. Wikileaks.org was founded by John Shipton, a coward who hides out in Kenya while his minions destroy those individuals and organizations that don't share his ideology.

I know that there is an enormous divide between the left and right, not only in this country, but through out the west. Ideologically we have different views about how we look at and interact with the world around us. What continually amazes me is how the left will stop at nothing to win at all costs regardless of what effect their tactics have on innocent individuals. I suppose the "ends justify the means" mentality allows for a guilt free conscience when your politics is your religion and your leaders are your gods. It saddens me however that once again, they have taken the beauty of this technology and corrupted it for selfish political gain. They have temporarily won in their attempt to curtail Coleman's fund raising efforts, but by using cyber terrorism to threaten innocent peoples financial lives they are ruining it for everybody. Hopefully justice will prevail and the FBI will nail these idiots, but more than that, I hope that more publicity of acts like this will convince future voters that there is a difference between the parties and between ideologies. The Demoncrats are no longer the party of John Kennedy. they will stop at nothing to drag this country down to the level of slime that they wallow in. God help us!

Even though you tend to be disingenuous at times, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. Your "report" claims the list included "credit card numbers" but that's not correct. It contained only the last four digits. An honest mistake on your part, I'm sure.

Let's say Norm Coleman was robbed and you learned he left his valuables scattered on the lawn. Sure, sure. We can't blame Coleman for the robbery, but Jesus H. Christ. He left his valuables on the lawn!! That's more or less what Coleman did on his website. Has anyone at the Coleman camp heard of .htaccess? Basically, he was google-hacked. Rookies. How can you trust a man with America's security when he won't restrict sensitive directories or encrypt his supporters' personal data?

BTW: Wikileaks is the least of his problems. Merchants who require CVV2 numbers for "card not present" transactions ARE FORBIDDEN from storing the number after the transaction is complete. In the short term, that's gonna create a mess of legal trouble for Norm but what about the long-term? How's he gonna compete with Franken six years from now when he can't take credit card transactions over the web?

Anonymous said...

"spread misleading propaganda regarding Iraq and Guitmo" Hell, these people must have been working for the Bush administration too.

scud said...

Wikileaks claim that they have and are planning to disclose the full cc #. They suggested to cancel the card. they also encouraged a donation to their organization. then they signed off with a tongue in cheek, "good luck". Shake down? Hmm, just business as usual for the hate filled Frankenites. Even if the webbies at Coleman's campaign were naive, that doesn't give anyone the right to punish someone. It is the same thing as the people who supported the prop 8 issue in California. there names were published and many of them subsequently blacklisted and called out for their "intolerance". Can't we find some common ground here? I mean really, publishing private information just because you support someone the left hates? Gimme a break!

Anonymous said...

You know Scud, for a long time I thought you just wrote this right wing drivel in an effort to promote political wrangling here on your blog. I had you figured as a person who enjoyed engaging in this kind of back and forth banter. But, apparently I was giving you credit for being smarter than you actually are. Sadly, it seems, you apparently believe this insane nonsense you write.

As confused as you are, please try and get this one fact correct. Communists and Nazis are pretty much polar opposites, so as much as you want, liberals can't be both. In reality, your description " modern day brownshirts of Nazi Germany" wouldn't apply to liberals, but to facists like you.

scud said...

Oops, another lefty exposes their lack of knowledge. Probably spent some extra time and money in graduate classes for an advanced degree in confusion. sorry to always have to correct the historically challenged, but the Nazi party was a socialist government. The brownshirts were a group of young believers who's basic mission was to intimidate descent, often times violently, but many times just in informing on others suspected of not following the favored ideology. The comparison is valid. Back to class, moron.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous: Scud is nothing but superficial. He listens to political rhetoric and accepts it at face value. The Nazi Party's name (NSDAP) and its hyperbole was designed to peel working class support from political rivals on the left, chiefly Rosa Luxemburg's Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands. The Leader spent his days courting Industrialists and his nights rabble rousing proletariat. Hitler's first act as Chancellor was to ban the KPD. He consolidated power after he successfully attributed the Reichstag fire to his rivals on the Left. Post war Germany was indeed polarized with the NSDAP on the right and the KPD on the left.

The Nazis themselves were a party of hyper-nationalist, expansionist, racist, war-mongering thugs. One prominent early supporter was General Erich von Ludendorff, a Prussian military careerist and the hero of Tanneberg. Hardly a typical socialist. The KPD had no support from the officer corps, but the Nazis counted many among their supporters. From the moment they seized power the Nazis placed the country of Geothe on a war economy. Their goal from the start was expansion through military means. They borrowed heavily in order to amass an arsenal of weapons. Few recieved their back-ordered Volkswagon since factories were devoted to military production. The challenge for Scud is to reconcile Nazi Imperialism with socialist ideology.

nice cut 'n' paste, jeff. wow, your so smart. Is there no common ground to be found with you guys? Seriously, is it OK with you that some cyber hacks think it's in everyone's best interest to publish a list of personal information of political supporters? Cripe!

Anonymous said...

Nobody thinks it's okay to publish the list. But doesn't Coleman have an obligation to comply with PCI and to protect his contributor's data?

This is interesting, I learned that Minnesota passed a law in 2007 that requires a company that was breached and found to have stored PCI prohibited data, i.e. CVV codes, to reimburse the banks for the cost of blocking and reissuing new cards. In other words, Normy's got a big bill coming his way....

P.S. I challenge you to find the source of my supposed "cut 'n' paste."

I'll attribute your continued befuddlement and knee-jerk responses to the lack of sleep you said you've been experiencing lately and not to the fact that you're just another right wing simpleton. For some reason, cretins like yourself always see everything as being either black or white. So while the following will certainly be difficult for you to grasp. In order to stop looking extremely dense all the time, you need to recognize that things are almost invariably a little more complicated than you seem to view them.

Small lesson for you Scud. "What's in a name?" It's really not what a Political party calls itself that matters, but how they govern or plan to govern. Just because the Nazi's used the word Socialist in their name did not make them so. They governed from the right and were in fact a mix of right wing nationalism, anti-capitalism and anti-socialism. This pedigree hardly qualifies them as a classic socialist party. But, since conservatives like yourself are conditioned to react predictably to certain words, it's not surprising you would make the assumption you did. It would be truly entertaining "to be a fly on the wall" and to see what conclusion you jump to when you first read the names of the following Political Parties. Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, Liberal Party of Australia, Republican Party of Armenia and the real kicker, Panama's Nationalist Republican Liberal Movement.

I do appreciate your Mr. Peabody's Improbable History lesson, but I already knew who the Brownshirts were. The closest modern day counterparts to this group that comes to mind, now call themselves the "Young Republicans". I last saw them in action, outside the Miami presidential vote recount headquarters, during the 2000 Presidential Election dispute.

scud said...

Wow. another sanctimonious pseudo intellectual lefty. How predictable. Thanks, I know what the Nazi's were. You should read (if you can), Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg. Who knows, if you can get some help sounding out the big words, you might learn something. The Brownshirt comparison to what Wikileaks and many radicals on the left are doing, is completely appropriate. Good luck.

Hope and Change!

Anonymous said...

Well bonehead, if you know what the Nazi's are. Then why don't you just come clean and admit you're way closer to being one than liberals are.

It's suddenly become clear why you're on this Liberal Fascism kick. You've found someone to read Goldberg's book to you and now you're consumed with a burning desire to share all your new found wisdom with the world.

Even though works of fiction aren't my preferred reading material. You can rest assured that I'll take your advise, rush right out and buy a copy of Goldberg's book to read. Just as soon as you get and read Senator Al Franken's books. Good luck.

scud said...

If you've read any of Franken's drivel, that explains your insanity. I've read enough of his garbage to realize that Franken is one of the most despicable, loathsome little twits this state ever helped produce. It sickens me that 3 demoncratically controlled, screwed up counties -Hennepin, Ramsey and St.Louis- might cheat him into office. Those three counties, primarily the urban centers of the state are filled with low life scum demoncrats who are drunk on government hand outs and can't count worth crap. they miscounted their votes and operate by different standards than the rest of the state which is primarily Republican. Minnesota will embarrass itself again with the little hate monger spewing his cynical bile on the senate floor unless the judicial panel that heard final arguments today, do the right thing and throw the whole thing out and call for a new election. Once again, Dems prove how much they suck.

Hope and Change! (Now a laughable phrase)

Anonymous said...

I don't think you have to worry all that much about Minnesota embarrassing itself any further. After all, this is the state that elected and then re-elected the certifiable Michele Bachman to Congress. It's physically impossible for the voters of Mn. to do anything that could cause the state more embarrassment than those previous displays of lunacy.

I should mention that it's a little unsettling to know that any state contains enough brain-dead (Retchpublicans) to continually elect a person who, at best, makes a box of rocks look smart. So in order to offset this uneasy feeling. I find it strangely reassuring to imagine that the voters of MN. 6th Cong. District aren't really as stupid as their voting record make them look. And that they elected this thing simply as a way to draw attention to themselves. Something, they hoped, that would be viewed by the rest of the nation as kind of a Congressional District's version of a full body tattoo. If that's not the case, maybe these losers can be convinced to join the residents of Minnesota's Northwest Angle in their efforts to secede from the United States and join Canada. Although I do have some misgivings about wishing them on a friendly nation like Canada.

You tell him, Scud! Damn those fancy Urbans with their Calvin Klein jeans, "complicated" hair and coffee shops that serve condescending looks each time you order Maxwell House.

Let's say, and why not, Smooth Barry leaves some weapons grade plutonium lying on the sidewalk in front of the White House. Then along comes Osama bin Hussein who grabs the stuff and sticks it in a dirty bomb that he detonates down the street from Scud. As a result, Our Fearless Blogger is forced to wait 80.8 million years until he's allowed back in his house. Who does Scud berate the next time he updates his blog? Hint: It won't be the ay-rab.

Yet Norm Coleman left unencrypted data - including information he was not entitled to keep - on a public webserver with no access controls. Coleman redefined incompetence yet some "lefty" blogger received all of Scud's ire. If Coleman had encrypted that file, the WikiLeaks page would be nothing but gobbly-gook. Scud would still be angry and bitter but his credit card information would remain secure.

BTW: The people who harvest credit card information from public web servers are incredibly efficient. I guarantee that information was available for sale on black hat sites way before Scud's hated lefty Brownshirt even thought to look for it. If anything, she probably did his supporters a favor....

AIG. Oh the comedy of it all. After the dems crucified W and his poorly managed bail out attempt in the 11th hour of his presidency, look what happens. Here comes BO's bail out, lets give AIG $170,000,000,000.00 to stabilize what amounts to a corporate disaster and the boobs pay out $165 million in bonuses to the very idiots that wrecked the company in the first place. BO is outraged! Even though he swallowed $100,000 in campaign funds from AIG, he's madder than Hell! The buck stops with him!

Hope and Change, indeed.

Well there you have it. The CBO has given us all a nice bit of news concerning BO's brilliant budget plan. Now, liberals have never been known for their budgetary prowess, or for their prowess in anything for that matter, but this administration is at the cutting edge of total fiscal insanity. $9.3 TRILLION DOLLARS in ten years. The CBO says that the deficit under BO's policies would never go below 4% of GDP, figures that economists pretty much universally agree are unsustainable. By the end of the decade, the deficit would exceed 5% of GDP, which is extremely perilous.

I find it hilarious how the minions of libdem continuously and feverishly defend the indefensible. I mean, seriously, to support this president and his economic polices can mean only two things: you're stupid, or, you're simply nuts. Or both.

Oh, 2012, please hurry. Please get here soon.

Michele Bachman is a bat-sh!t crazy person who undoubtedly represents Scud's congressional district. Today she introduced a bill to prevent the dollar from being replaced by an imaginary global currency. This "bill" is apparently in response to an internal Chinese proposal to place some of its global currency reserve in currencies other than the US dollar. So she asked Geithner to denounce this imaginary global money and he didn't comply because "WTF is this crazy person talking about?" So while Bachman bans imaginary money, the Chinese are free to buy euros, pesos or Ron Paul's gold doubloons....

$9.3 trillion dollars in debt. A newborn comes into this world in America and is automatically in debt $22,000.00 thanks to our forward thinking mastermind currently taking up space in the oval office. In a mere three months, Obama has become such a national disaster, even the EU gets it. Europe is lamenting, and rightly so, over America's "road to Hell" that will cause global economic instability. BO's attempt at European socialism (gee, that's never been tried before) is clearly seen as the wrong path by everyone except BO, congressional dems, and, of course, liberals who will defend BO to the bitter end.

This is what constitutes Hope and Change: massive government expansion and a debt load that staggers the imagination. This president is saddling us with more federal debt than all 43 previous presidents COMBINED. But, here's Jeff: "There's a lot to like about this budget." Oh really? Like what? More and more people are seeing the light and agreeing that Obama's administration is inept and rudderless. While BO sits on 60 Minutes laughing about the economy or on Leno, mocking the Special Olympics, Rome burns.

Here then, is America's experiment with a Kenyan-born, unaccomplished, 48 year old, uber-liberal lawyer with a blank sheet of paper for a resume. What could we possibly have been thinking to elect this guy as president?

Don't blame me, I didn't vote for a teleprompter.

Poor JR, reduced to quoting that economic mental midget, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek of Czechoslovakia. A man just booted out of his job at home when he received a vote of no-confidence. And whose remark was either ignored or repudiated by most European leaders. Yet to some of the feeble minded, he speaks for Europe. You probably should just continue as you have in the past. And stick with making up stuff and then quoting yourself.

I know a person shouldn't laugh at the mentally ill. But you Rushpublicans are such a hoot.

JR: if you have a problem with debt, maybe you ought to look at your buddies Reagan and Bush. Bonzo doubled the Federal deficit and Dumbya quintupled it. Clinton eliminated Reagan's budgetary deficit (although not his debt) what incentive does Obama have to do the same? The next Republican is only gonna spend money like a drunken sailor. That's what Republicans do: They loiter in bathrooms and rack up debt...

JR said...

Sigh.

Maybe I need to t y p e m o r e s l o w l y for liberals. I realize how difficult it must be to have to face the reality that the empty suit you voted for is turning out to be the greatest mistake in U.S. history but could you at least try and launch a coherent argument for your Holy of Holies?

It's astounding how the Obamatron Faithful will collectively fall on their swords to protect Captain Disaster at all costs, always looking backwards to bash extinct administrations to justify the lunacy of the current regime.

Do I have a problem with massive, out of control deficit spending? You bet. Am I the only one? Hardly. Most educated, fiscally conservative Americans (read: no liberals) see this for exactly what it is. A budgetary nightmare of biblical proportions.

Who cares about Reagan, Clinton, or Bush? That's ancient history. It's Obama Time. And it all sucks.

Sanityisbutavaguememory said...

Come one, come all. Here's your chance to join the "educated, fiscally conservative Americans" in their quest to forget the past and save the future from the clutches of the liberals. Patriots like JR, Scud, the Scarecrow, Michele Bachman and myself. To accomplish this all you need to do is put on your ruby slippers, close your eyes, click your heels together three times and repeat. There was no past before Inauguration Day 2009, there was no past before Inauguration Day 2009, there was no past before Inauguration Day 2009. Once you've done this, you can now, with a straight face, argue that Obama is the root cause of all the world's problems. And unlike now, you won't even be aware that you're lying.

I typed this really, really fast, so that only a true conservative would be able to read it. That way, liberals and people like Arlen Specter, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Susan Collins won't have a clue as to what's up.

Help me, help Michele Bachman, protect the Dollar from the One World Currency advocates. And the earth from the Klingons.

The ancient scolls that chronicle the presidencies of Reagan and Bush remain relevent to this day. Why should a Democrat reduce deficits for a Republican predecessor to squander? We handed George W. I want high speed rail in the northeast corridor and another six lanes on the Connecticut turnpike. Richard J. Evans in Regius Professor of Modern History at Cambridge University. His three volume work on the Nazi period has been called the definitive work of a generation. In volume three, he describes the men who led the Einsatzgruppen, political units whose mission was to enact the ideological policies of the Third Reich. These were Hitler's Dittoheads.

"The men appointed to lead the Task Groups and their various sub-units ... were mostly well-educated, middle class men who had turned to the far right [emphasis mine] during the Weimar Republic. Many of the older more-senior commanders had served in the violent Free Corps in the early 1920s; their younger subordinates had often been initiated into the politics of the ultra-nationalist, anti-semitic far right [again, emphasis mine]." Evans, vol 3, pp 17.

Jonah Goldberg, who has no academic credentials, is misleading you for ideological reasons. His book Liberal Fascism has just four academic cites, two on China, one on Ben Wattenberg and another on the meaninglessness of the term "facsim". To put that in perspective, I wrote some software that has nine academic cites. And remember, my contributions to this blog are "mental fecal matter." His characterization of the Nazis as liberal and/or leftist is nothing but a political ploy to push right-wing extremism to the opposite end of the political spectrum.
