Implosion

According to the left, I am now a member of a treasonous group. I cheered when President Obama and his newly made-over milquetoast wife made asses of themselves in Copenhagen while attempting to wheedle the Europeans into granting Chicago the 2016 Olympics. And I gnashed my teeth when the Nobel Prize Committee decided to fete Obama with the Peace Prize. So, that makes me an America-hater. "Why, oh why, do conservatives hate America so?" asks Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post, singling out Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck as paradigmatic of the conservative "hate America" movement. "The problem for the addlebrained Obama-rejectionists is that the president, as far as they concerned, couldn't possible do anything right, and thus is unworthy of any conceivable recognition."

No, Eugene, that isn't the problem for us. Here's our problem: President Obama seeks an America that resembles modern France far more than the free and prosperous America our forefathers fought and bled and died for. President Obama's America is not America: It is the United Nations writ large, with socialist redistribution at its center and moral relativism at its core. I root against President Obama's America because I don't want to see it become a reality. And the only way it will become a reality is if President Obama is able to make it a reality. And so I root for events that drain away Obama's political capital.

I rooted against him when he visited Copenhagen to bring the Olympics home. That's not because I opposed the Olympics going to Chicago -- a Chicago Olympics would have been great. I rooted against Obama because if he had achieved his goals with regard to the Olympics, too many Americans would have thought that such success somehow legitimated his agenda here at home -- an agenda totally at odds with all notions of constitutionality, limited government, and liberty of enterprise and thought. By winning in Copenhagen, he would have raised his chances of ramming through his domestic and foreign policy programs -- and that's the last thing I want to see. I was enraged when Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. That's not simply because I think he didn't deserve it, though he clearly doesn't. It's because the Peace Prize was just another sop to Obama's inflated ego. It was a blatant attempt by the "world community" to hand Obama a personal consolation prize for his fiasco in Copenhagen. It was their attempt to screw his courage to the sticking place, to reinforce his self-inflicted perception that he is a world leader destined to direct America toward a more global future. The Nobel Committee gave Obama the Peace Prize because he has already demonstrated real commitment to undermining American strength on the world stage, and they want to see him follow through on that commitment.

In short, I don't root against President Obama because I hate America. I root against President Obama because I hate his vision for America. It is those like President Obama who see America as a dark and dangerous place that requires earth-shaking change along European lines. It is those like President Obama who feel that Americans are nothing special -- and that America is nothing special. As Obama himself put it: "I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism." In other words, America is not exceptional -- it's just because we live here that we feel it is. And the American people are not exceptional -- they are merely Greeks or Brits or Russians or Chinese or Frenchmen born within our borders, with values no better or worse than their foreign compatriots. Obama's belief in America's unexceptionalism -- his view that America's government, not her people, is the formative force in her values; his view that the American people bear the stain of racial, sexual and military guilt; his view that America must abandon her scrupulous adherence to equality of opportunity in favor of equality of result, traditional morals in favor of alternative ethics, and liberty of enterprise in favor of redistributionism -- that set of beliefs is antithetical to what makes America great.

So yes, I hate Obama's America. Because Obama's America isn't America -- it's the European view of America, implemented from high office. Opposing the total redefinition of America isn't anti-American; it's patriotic. And opposing those, like Obama, who push for that drastic redefinition, isn't "hating America" -- it's fighting in favor of the America that ended slavery, built the greatest economic empire in world history and liberated tens of millions around the globe. If that isn't patriotic, I don't know what is.

Well said. Our apologetic, bowing, sniveling, indecisive leader is so far over his head, it's pathetic. On a good note, his approval rating continues to drop, the wheels have fallen off the globull warming wagon, and even the stupid liberals are mad at Bo over his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. How bad is getting that even that fat tub of grease, Michael Moore, is pissed at Obama? No worries, 2012 will be here soon.

Agreed. "The One" will soon be "The None". He will be a footnote in history and sit along side of Carter as the worst president in history. Now that he and Rahm are threatening Ben Nelson with closing the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska Where USSTRATCOM is located, unless he agrees with Barry's stupid healthcare bill, maybe someone with balls and a sense of honor will proceed with impeachment. This is an act of treason.

Good to see you back Scud. I was worried that you might have become a KIA in the great Revolution of 2010. But thankfully you're back and it's now apparent that you weren't killed, but have only suffered further brain damage.

Looks like I'm not the only one glad to see you back. Old Skull Job seems pretty excited too.

Dearest "Proud",

since you apparently are not a fan of Conservatives, I assume you are proud of your guy, Barry? Seriously? Really? At what point does blind allegiance give way to reality and common sense? 12.5 trillion in debt, 106 trillion in unfunded mandates. The Dems plan: spend our way to prosperity. what? does that strike any fear at all in your simplistic, indoctrinated brain?

Your boy is killing us.

I'm just a little disappointed in you. You've been gone all this time and the best you could do is repost someone else's swill.

I don't have anything against conservatives as a whole. They are really useful in making everyone else look super intelligent. Take your argument there big boy.

Since it seems you too suffer from a common right wing affliction, the absence of a long term memory. It then falls upon me to remind you that these unfunded mandates didn't just magically appear on January 20th, 2009. They've been around for quite some time, republican times included. As for your belated concern about government debt, somehow that comes across as being just a tad disingenuous. Considering that back in the days when your Boy George was spending like a drunken sailor or in his case, a drunken Texas Air National Guardsman. You and your kindred spirits donned your cheerleader outfits and did back flips over every jumbled sentence the man uttered. Then after hosing things up royally, he skipped off to Texas to cut brush and left a country with an economy in the toilet. And a couple of wars that patriots like yourself continue to express support for. Let me clarify that, you support it up to a point just short of where either you or a family member be required to fight in it.

So yeah, when compared to moron that proceeded him, I'm ok with Obama.

Ha! The perfect, predictable, cut and paste response from an indoctrinated lefty! You do not disappoint, thank you! Of course the unfunded mandates span all flavors of federal government. And it might surprise you that conservatives were not doing back flips over GWB's spending either, although if it helps you in your delusional stereotype of conservatives, you go right ahead and believe whatever. It doesn't really affect any of us what you think, we know what's right. Useful idiots like you are merely entertainment. good job!

"it's fighting in favor of the America that ended slavery"

Facts can be such pesky things, but they can speak for themselves.

England ended slavery in 1770's and rest of British Empire in 1833

Greece ended slavery in 1822

United States ended slavery 1865

No one would confuse Bill O'Reilly as a fan of Barry Obama. Yet O'Reilly supported efforts to obtain the Olympics and he found conservative elation to Rio's selection "strange." Now Scud makes it clear where he stands on America's loss of Olympic revenue. His elation makes him wing-nuttier than Bill O'Reilly. Did you think that possible? I didn't.

Conservatives often have difficulty with irony, but even Scud should appreciate this: Remember when Michele Bachmann denounced the census as a East Coast liberal elitist crap? Well, funny story. Minnesota is on the verge of losing a Congressional seat due declining population. Its prospects of maintaining all its reps were diminished when Bachmann implored her district to defy the census. Any guesses which district is on the block? According to the Minnesota Star-Tribune: Bachmann's sixth district will likely be carved up.

Well ,it looks like it's out with the Old and in with the New. Let's all say goodbye to the progressive state of Massachusetts and welcome the regressive state of Massissippi.

Looking on the bright side, the state's name is now much easier to spell.

The poor dems are still gasping for breath after getting sucker punched by Brown in Massachusetts. How bad is it getting where they lose a seat so entrenched in a liberal swamp that they can't even pull that one off? Obooba even stops in to lend his support and, as usual, fails. BO's powerbase is eroding. His legislative agenda is already dying. His approval ratings continue to slide. The truth is the dems cannot, in fact must not, lead. The majority of Americans see BO and this hideous congress for exactly what they are: morons. Bend over and grab your collective ankles lib dem, you're about to get slammed in the mid-terms and the 2012 presidential run. Sure, you've still got the mindless, sniveling drones who worship BO no matter what. Like Jeff, sitting in his bathroom, sporting a buster, while drooling over the latest photo-op in Newsweak of his messiah. But, thankfully, this is the ever-shrinking minority. BO is playing his role perfectly: inept, inexperienced, confused, and destructive.

So, say goodbye dems, you're done. Say goodbye to healthcare, it's over. BO, mercifully, will be a lame duck in his second year.

Feel the hope. See the change. Yeah, I see the change, it's coming in 2012 and we can put this national nightmare behind us.

WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER.

Reality and scud butt heads again: The states with the highest divorce rates in the country are the ones that banned gay marriage. "Overall, the states which had enacted a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage as of 1/1/08 saw their divorce rates rise by 0.9 percent over the five-year interval. States which had not adopted a constitutional ban, on the other hand, experienced an 8.0 percent decline, on average, in their divorce rates." And the ones with the lowest rates of divorce? Rhode Island, Maine and Massachusetts.

$3.8 trillion dollar budget, the estimated national debt will balloon to $15.6 trillion by 10/2011, exceeding GDP. But at least Barry cares about the middle class now. The same middle class he is in the process of destroying through his insane economic policies. I tried to watch the SOTU speech but could only stomach about 10 minutes of watching this lying scumbag swivel his head from teleprompter to teleprompter, spewing BS, and then sticking his smug nose up in the air looking every bit like the elitist, snotfaced prick that he is. And there's hair-plugged Biden, looking as confused as ever, and Pelosi, who looks like an exhumed mummy out of Cairo. What a circus. Our community organizer cum POTUS is totally out of his league and has absolutely no idea what he's doing. No question he's a one termer but look how much damage the fool has done in 12 months. Impeach him NOW! His actions are treasonous to say the least.

Feel the hope. See the change.

Sarah Palin is the Great White Hope of the Tea Party set, grown men who parade in three-corner hats and pretend to endure a harsh winters at the Valley Forge Marriott. She's a light weight who buckled under pressure from a handful of Alaskan liberals - I think there's five of them. If Putin gets his paws on her, she'll melt like a snowbilly in the "real America" of Alabammy. Obama's Chicago team will crush her like a grape. These guys took out the Clinton machine with a candidate named Barry HUSSEIN Obama. They'll leave Palin crying in a corner with a wet stain in her pants. PeeParty indeed.
