More Liberal Hysteria Debunked

superhuman
Wesley Pruden, editor in chief of the Washington Times eloquently stated in his September 6th column what I, and millions of other commonsense laden Americans have been thinking and saying since the beginning of the Katrina flood. It is not The President's fault that this tragedy happened, and yet the looney left would rather sell off the plight of thousands of victims for political profit than use their energy and voice to try to unify the country and heal the brokenness of an entire region. There is little doubt that although a majority of the hardcore left would proudly profess themselves as atheists or agnostics, they have unwittingly become a part of an out of touch cult, and now worship at the alter of Bush hatred. They have become so blinded by their own rage they can no longer discern between healthy and measured debate and acidic lunacy that is eating away at the fabric that holds this country together.

A good example of this can be found in our friend Sean Penn as he took time off from his valuable world travels and donated himself to be a living metaphor for the left when he entered the fray in NO. While we all should at least tip our hats to our favorite stoner from "Fast Times" for showing up and trying to help, you can't help but notice the irony of his initial rescue effort. As he so heroically launched his boat, affectionately dubbed, "The Tasty Wave", Sean, dressed in a flack jacket, surrounded by security, and photographers to capture the moments, stood atop the bow not unlike Washington crossing the Delaware and proudly announced for all to hear, "Stand Back! I'm an actor! I will rescue you!" Sadly, like the left itself, He forgot to put in the drain plug and The Tasty Wave slowly succumbed to the toxic soup. Alas our hero would be back, and not missing a beat, proceeded to lend his political insights to the public airwaves and declared this to be "the criminal negligence of the Bush administration". Thanks Sean, your intellect and analysis are precious, but your boating skills are lacking.

NEWSFLASH: The people we fly over don't like actors yet they continue to inflate their place in the heirarchy with blog posts.

flyover: would you mind sharing with the class your definition of "commonsense"? Since you're full of it, I'm sure you can enlighten us.

Okay, here we go again. The liberals in Washington are falling over themselves to prevent what they call "price gouging." If there are more people than hotel rooms guess what happens? Prices are going to rise - duh! Markets are self correcting. If demand remains high, people will build more hotels and the market will adjust. A room at Holiday Inn is not going to remain 500.00/night for ever. If you don't want to pay that, then go somewhere else. Only the commie demoncrats would think to place price controls on the free market.

Excellent article by Pruden. In times like these, when a national crisis occurs, one can really separate the people who have integrity, fortitude, character, and dignity versus the ridiculous hysterics and endless stupidity of the Nutbag Left. People eating corpses, senators wanting to physically attack the President, rappers trying to think above a 2nd grade level, actors pretending they care, race baiters...what a circus of dimwits.

Well said Scud. Well said indeed. It's so refreshing to read the blog of a real American like yourself. I particularly like how you back up your beliefs with the unwavering reason of Wesley Pruden. Sure, others may consider him to be a history revisionist, or neo-confederate, or even a race baiter. But not you sir. You saw straight through the dust-up of facts, and immediately sunk your teeth into the approved talking points. I mean really, who cares if a bunch of "those people" are killed as a result of federal inaction. It's better that we mislead them and allow them to die them where they live, instead of waiting for them to move to our neighborhoods. It's just like the President's idea for combating Islamofascism (kill 'em where they are). Keep up the good work.

That makes a lot of sense.......

Here's a game for you enlightened people to play: Name every president that Bush is smarter than.

Well, he's probably smarter than Alfalfa, you know, president of the He-man Woman Haters Club.....,but not by much.

It's just like you Liberals to poke fun, and lay blame during the destruction and abandonment of one of America's most blessed institutions. The presidency of George W. Bush is crumbling before our very eyes. Now is the time that all those who truly love this nation need to get behind the President, and yet well over 60% of "my fellow countrymen" believe our leader is capable of making mistakes. I'm ashamed to call myself an American. Is there nothing anybody can do? I would send money, but I gave most of my disposable income to Texans For A Republican Majority. So I'm a little short.

Will,
Why don't you have the stones, integrity, intelligence or technological savy to link to your own site? Oh yeah, you're a lib. Not all those attributes apply. Nice attempt at sarcasm though, it almost works.

flyover: Why don't you have the stones, integrity, intelligence or technological savy to answer my question: what is this "commonsense" you claim to be ladened with?

Jeffery,
It's a fair question. And I will address it in another post to come soon. Thanks for the challenge. Now get back to your cubicle and work for the man! His bonus is on the line.

They don't have cubicles at Arby's. Remember, little Jeff has a liberal arts degree.

flyover: a. You spelled my name wrong; b. I had a very satisfying week at work. Thanks for your concern.

whatever: I work in an IT department that was ranked among the best in the country. I am surrounded by people who majored in history, english, political science, economics, physics and art. There are a few computer science majors but they tend to be anti-social for some reason. It is an archaic notion that you have to work in a field related to your major. Liberal Arts produces well-rounded people who think quickly on their feet. I'll take them every time....
