Opportunity Knocks?

First off, I'm not advocating, nor soliciting any illegal activity against a foreign head of state. However, one might be tempted to speculate the potential trade off of the unfortunate disappearance of one insane leader compared to the promised annihilation of the entire country of Israel, the continued death of US military personnel at the hands of Iranian weapons, and the many proxy wars and overt threats to global stability at the hands of this kook and his fanatical, nut job Islamic leaders. Hmm. What would be worse? I just couldn't guess.

Therefore, we hold our nose and just let this pig excrement waltz into our country and enjoy our freedoms and civility - unlike what's available in his oppressive and worthless pile of rock. No, once again the U.N. (Useless Nothings) will give this moron a chance to spew his hateful insanity and then slither back into his hole and continue to plan Armageddon. Too bad. Opportunity knocks, but the door won't open.

Maybe the Obamassiah should unconditionally meet with him one on one and enlighten him as to the many benefits of sanity. Ah yes, who needs a military, or weapons at all when we have "The One" to lead us, and the world.

I used to think this blog was satire. I was introduced to it from a link off Jesus' General. It's not satire. The blogger is dead serious yet he still makes me chuckle. Consider this: "Therefore, we hold our nose and just let this pig excrement waltz into our country and enjoy our freedoms and civility."

You want some insanity, consider this: India has NOT signed the Nuclear Non-proliferation Act. They have NOT agreed to plutonium productions caps. And they have NOT signed the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. India is also one of Iran's biggest trading partners. Now President Bush wants to cut a deal in which we violate the NPT in order ship uranium to India. The deal is intended to help that country on the civilian side. Any school boy knows if you help them on the civilian side, you free them to build the military side. We are governed by the idiot son of an asshole.

That's right Jeff, in the end everything is Bush's fault. Such sound, deep thinking. Ahmadinejad is in New York today stating that Israel is doomed and that the U.S. government is to blame for all the world's problems going back several decades. And we've got legions of liberals just like you buying into here at home. Yeah, Mahmoud's a great guy. No doubt college campuses across the U.S. are just buzzing with excitement having him here. America is losing what little sanity it has left.

Jeff, you are consistent; I have to give you that. Your moral confusion continues to encumber you with the inability to discern truth from fiction and will forever burden you with self loathing and destructive attitudes so prevalent on the left.

The Libdem's dream ticket:

President Barack Hussein Obama
VP Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

It doesn't get any more American than that. I think we need to seriously listen to what Mahmoud has to say. He's a pretty middle-of-the-road kind of guy. When he kicks us in the nuts, which is constantly, we should stand there and take it and then apologize for being Americans. That's the liberal way. The Obama way.

We should have nuked Iran back in 1979 and we wouldn't be dealing with any of this crap now. But, better late than never. Send a sub over there and launch a few sweet packages of democracy into Tehran. The weather today in Tehran: cloudy, 2,000,000 degrees, and a 100% chance of black rain. (Gasp! How inhumane! How racist! How intolerant! How this! How that!)

Yeah, that's the ticket, lets attack Iran. Look how well that worked out for us in Iraq.

You guys are dense. The US tries to leverage sanctions against Tehran. India continues to be one of Iran's biggest trading partners. How does the Bush Administration react to New Delhi's violation of sanctions? It *rewards* them by violating its NPT treaty obligation.

We can't control Tehran but we can hold our government accountable. If you think Tehran is a problem, then you can't laud an Administration that rewards its biggest trading partner. This is beyond stupid. Bush not only rewards Tehran for undermining the sanctions that Washington wants to uphold, but by doing so he's undermining one of the most successful international treaties we've ever signed. I might be a moron but Bush is fscking brain dead.

How about GE, Jeff? do you have any brilliant insight into the fact that the organization that continues to volunteer as The Obama PR machine, NBC, has continued to defy policy and do business with Iran as well? Hard to believe that your heroes, Olberman and Maddow take their paychecks and marching orders from greedy conglomerates like GE. Dollars first, leftist propaganda second, right?

That's funny. I can never recall Jeff ever praising GE. However Scud, you seldom pass up an opportunity to fallate The Decider.

Last year I personally led a project to ensure that my company had no digital ties to Iran. For example, we don't allow computers from their address space to access our websites or mail servers. This was in compliance with US law. The experience gave me some insight into the matter.

A company can trade with Iran but it requires a permit issued by the Treasury Department. As of last summer, the Treasury received about 4500 permit requests and it had turned down less that 200. You know the Bushies, they hate to say no to business. Trade sanctions have worked so well that US trade with Iran has INCREASED tenfold under the Bush administration.

Now let's turn our attention to GE. Mmmm this is interesting. Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of GE, has given large contributions to Republican presidential candidates and the Republican National Committee. Although he lives in Connecticut, he contributed $2000.00 to Mitch McConnell's campaign. Let's check wikipedia for some insight here. Hey, look. McConnell's on the Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs. I'm not saying that's why a Connecticut resident sent money to a Kentucky senator but it's interesting...

You know better than to confront Scud with facts. They have such a liberal bias.

Like Jeff, I love Ahmadinejad because he hates America, Bush, Christians, Jews, et al. My only problem is that he executes sodomites on a regular basis. I'm really internally conflicted over that one. What to do, what to do...

That's a really neat story Jeff. Thanks for sharing. Of course, as usual, it's utterly irrelevant and void of any meaning as to what Scud's point is. You somehow manage to always cloud the issue with pointless nonsense and BS.

Fact one: Ahmadinejad is insane.
Fact two: Ahmadinejad will stop at nothing to acquire nuclear capability.
Fact three: Ahmadinejad will use said nuclear capability for violent purposes.

So, while I'm really happy to hear about your IT projects Jeff, the truth is that Ahmadinejad represents a major threat to the West and global stability. Without a doubt, as with Saddam, the world would be far better off without him.

Nobody said Iran wasn't a threat but there's no need to wet yourself. They're a yippy dog nipping at our heels, not a threat to global stability. If reality matches your frightened characterization, then your anger should be directed at the Bush administration. Their operations don't match their rhetoric. On one hand they characterize Iran with language starkly similar to yours. Yet they reward Iran's biggest trading partner with a deal that violates the NPT and they rubber stamp 96% of all US domestic trade applications. The AP found F-14s, airplane parts and US rifles in that country. As mentioned earlier, US trade with Iran increased tenfold during the Bush years. These guys don't listen to their own speeches.

If scud can get Ahmadinejad successfully in the cross-hairs of his deer rifle scope, then what? Constitutional power is vested in the Supreme Leader. Iran has already achieved the American conservative dream. They put a fundamentalist nutter in charge of the country. Ahmadinejad reports to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who's not particularly thrilled with his maverick President. You know how McCain has problems with his Fundy base? It's kind of like that. Last month an Ahmadinejad ally in parliament named the names of clerics who bilked the state of hundreds of millions. While still under pressure from reformers on the left who held the presidency for eight years prior to right-wing ascendancy, Ahmadinejad has launched a direct challenge on the religious clerics who actually rule the country. In other words, his hands will be full until we can get a better President and a more sensible Iran policy.
