Secret Liberal Plan Discovered!

teach
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight; nothing he cares about more than his own personal safety; is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better persons than himself." — John Stuart Mills

Unfortunately, this quote all too well describes what we're seeing and hearing today from the left in America, and in many western cultures today. The collective memory is so selectively short as to the results of inaction when faced with real and demonstrated threats. The morally bankrupt have succeeded in indoctrinating millions of lost travelers into the naive and simplistic pattern of thinking that all we have to do is be nice and it will be sunshine and lollypops for everybody. For these well meaning but lost souls the concept of evil is relevant to ones culture and history and actually, the only real evil is thinking that there is a clear definition.

I found a great example of this pollyanic thinking on a site that magically keeps a running tabulation on the costs of the war in Iraq, and then offers you comparative domestic programs that could have been helped with that money, obviously being wasted on Bushes illegal war. One interesting figure shown on this site said that as we had spent, $180,216,200,496 on the war on terrorism, we could have hired, 3,123,169 new teachers for 1 year. WOW! Think how smart our kids would be in just 1 year! And our military could come home and probably do community service or something useful.

Or I had a better idea. Why don't we bring our military home and then send the 3,123,169 new teachers over to Iraq and Afghanistan to teach the insurgent terrorists about the beauty of western culture and how we should all get along? I think this would work out perfectly. And it would only take 1 year! Just imagine how beautiful it would be. Instead of hearing car bombs the worst sound heard would be the squeak of chalk on the blackboard, and the clickety clack of computer keyboards feverishly composing term papers about the evils of imperialistic nationalism as dictated by the horrible George Bush. I can just imagine the first day of class.

"Hello, excuse me? Terrorists, insurgents? My name is Ms Johnson. Please take off your suicide belts and come into class. Mohamed, will you please stop blowing up that car and put your IED away? You can work on that in your new happy skills class later. My life partner and I just came here from Spain where we were forever joined as wife and wife. And we are very happy to be able to share with you the beauties of western culture and how we should all get along.
Ok, first we're going to learn about personal hygiene and a thing called toilet paper. This can be used instead of your left hand, even in modest cave dwellings. Oh, wait a minute, my life partner just informed me that if we bought all of you toilet paper to take back to your caves, we would be enriching the evil capitalist pigs at Proctor and Gamble and contributing to the destruction of our mother's resources, our friends in the forest. OK, never mind, I guess your hand will have to do."

Yup, that'll work just fine. Hey, maybe that's the plan that John Kerry always said he had, but never told anyone about. Sorry Senator, I didn't mean to blow your surprise!

It's Black and White

After President Bush spoke this evening about the war in Iraq, it couldn't be more clear. Liberals, I guess that would have to include 95% of elected Democrats, Socialists, Communists, Anarchists and college professors and most of Hollywood which are to the left of the first groups, have now painted themselves into a corner from which escape will be unlikely if not impossible. For them to now come out and gather mainstream support, they will have to side with the president to a much greater degree and humbly admit that they were wrong in their anti-war rhetoric. John Kerry once again today, made a complete fool of himself in the NYT by writing what he thought President Bush should say in his address, by simplistically stating the obvious as if it were an epiphany, that "we need a plan to win the peace". Duhh!! It truly makes me shutter to think that this guy was actually the left's idea of a presidential candidate. What an idiot! Another fine example of the wheels coming off of the liberal's wagon was the public lunacy displayed by Teddy "drink 'n' drive" Kennedy. His announcements from committee meetings, belittling Rumsfeld, and on the Senate floor, declaring that Iraq is a "quagmire", would have been hilarious if it wasn't so scary! As stated before in previous posts, Kennedy has no right to be a free man, much less a lifetime Senator. Seriously, what is wrong with Massachusetts?

The left has truly set itself apart from mainstream America. There is no room for misunderstanding now as to which party is best suited to handling serious governmental matters. The President's speech tonight was perfect, and 100% George Bush. He was straight forward, and sincere. And that is why he was re-elected and why he is the right man for the job. He correctly set the tone for the rest of the conflict, which will be years not months, explained why it would be stupid to try to attempt to set a deadline, and made it clear that the only people truly deserving of respect are our military personnel and their families, not a bunch of whiney liberal Senators in Washington.

There is no doubt in my mind as to who the good guys are in this country, and who the subversives are. The left has lost it completely. It has become a contest of good vs. evil. Thanks to the continuous ranting of the looney left, the good guys will continue to win, at least at the ballot box, for years to come, or at least until the next crop of brainwashed morons stumble away from their bongs in their dorm rooms in time to vote. But who knows, maybe when they sober up, they'll realize that they've been tricked and start to see black and white as well. We can only hope.

Hiding in Happiness

I'm a naughty blogger. I have to admit it and face the reality that I just can't physically, mentally or emotionally maintain any consistency in being immersed into those things that irritate me in the world. I think it is healthy, for me anyway, to step back, listen to some good music, look at some beautiful art or nature, hug my wife and kids, eat a good meal and enjoy the many blessings I have in my life. There is a limit on how much liberal insanity I can absorb without shutting down in some way to numb myself from the nasty reality that they inflict. Since I don't drink, take drugs or medicate myself with any other destructive diversion, I just have to shut off the chaos and revel in the experience of being alive and well, and to realize that no matter how evil the Democrats have become, no matter how much their vision of what America should be is wrong and destructive, and no matter how frustrating it is to see how wimpy some of the Republicans are, I can always come home, hug my family, mow my lawn, play a little golf and realize that I have it better than 99% of humanity throughout the ages. Political injustice, lying and tyranny used to be the norm throughout the world. Now it's only common in countries loved by liberals. Hopefully they will continue to openly hate America. If they ever start to embrace it, we know we've lost and America will cease to be the great country it has been. We will have then become another freedom hating, socialist utopia where the state decides what's best for the individual and collectivism and redistribution turns all of us into mindless drones living only to serve the elites. Ah yes, the liberals, gotta love 'em; they are entertaining. But until that happens, I'm going to occasionally bury my head in the sweet sand of happiness and enjoy the life I've been blessed with. The libs will always be there, barking like the dirty jackals that they are, pressing on in their relentless pursuit of the destruction of American tradition and culture. That fight will always be there. Today I'm gonna go play some golf, come home, have a big steak, and hug my wife. Aahhh....that's better.

Censure Durbin!

durbin
Again today my pulse quickened and my breathing became short as I struggled to keep my GIANT SUV from running over the stupid Hybrid in front of me. My sudden incoherence was brought on by hearing Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, run down our military by making an outright comparison of their treatment of captured terrorists in military prisons to the Nazis, the Soviet Gulags and the genocide of Pol Pot. This is a senior Senator in our own Federal Government! Not an extremist Muslim sympathizer, or a morally retarded Frenchman. This is the kind of rhetoric normally reserved for America haters, not U.S. Senators - of any party. But alas, this is what we must expect, and have come to routinely experience from today’s Democrats. They have been pulled so far left by the communists on the extreme left that the party has little in common with the heart and soul of mainstream Americans. Whether it's Howard "I have a scream" Dean, John "what's truth" Kerry, Hillary "the ice queen" Clinton, Robert "KKK" Byrd, or Teddy "drink n drive" Kennedy, they have a consistent message, Democrats are for nothing except the promotion of one world socialism, and hating all things that preserve American traditions, heritage and culture. This hatred is especially focused on the destruction anything conservative, religious and military. Of this new breed of hate filled leftists, apparently Dick Durbin has wandered to the front of the pack.

Specifically, on the floor of the Senate, Durbin said, "If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime--Pol Pot or others--that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners."

My outrage is not only at the insanity of that comparison, but also at the silence of Republicans in the Senate. Where is the fiery retort? Majority leader Bill Frist needs to take the floor tomorrow and publicly call for the censure of Durbin at the very least! We are at war with an unprecedented enemy. One who would incinerate thousands of innocent Americans along with themselves with joy. Our military has been more civil to these sub humans than any military has been to prisoners of war throughout the history of humanity! Give me a break! So what if they sit in a cold cell over night, or a hot cell, or are forced to listen to loud pop music, or a dog barks at them, or even worse, they see women's underwear! OH ALAH!! Get a grip people; these men are terrorists who want to kill us. They deserve a .44 slug, soaked in pig blood, to send them to their buddy, Mohammed. What we give them is far better than what they deserve. Dick Durbin and the democrats should know this but they are so blinded by their hate and rage that reason will continue to elude them, And therefore, so will political victories. So there is a silver lining afterall.

The 9-11 Memorial Heist

0001
I heard about this this week and just about drove off the road! Apparently, The liberal thought police in Manhattan have gotten control of the publicly funded memorial to the victims and horror of 9-11. Debra Burlingame wrote a piece in the WSJ on Tuesday that should be manditory reading for every American. She is the sister of one of the American Airlines pilots of flight 77 that hit the Pentagon. She has been a tireless crusader on behalf of the victims to ensure that a fitting tribute be constructed to memorialize those murdered by the scum in dirty night shirts. In her article The Great Ground Zero Heist, she documents the travesty of how the memorial project has been handed over to a committed leftist named Tom Bernstein. Bernstein has been involved with far left, anti-American activist groups such as the ACLU, and Human Rights First and has been involved with lawsuites against Donald Rumsfeld on behalf of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is the guy that has been handed the reigns of millions of federal dollars to construct a memorial to something he probably thinks we are responsible for! Under his direction, the memorial will not be a tribute to the cowerdice and brutality of September 11th and the resulting bravery and heroism in it's aftermath, but rather a global retrospective of political incorrectness over the centuries.

In her expose' of this scandal, Burlingame writes, "The public will have come to see 9/11 but will be given a high-tech, multimedia tutorial about man's inhumanity to man, from Native American genocide to the lynchings and cross-burnings of the Jim Crow South, from the Third Reich's Final Solution to the Soviet gulags and beyond. This is a history all should know and learn, but dispensing it over the ashes of Ground Zero is like creating a Museum of Tolerance over the sunken graves of the USS Arizona."

This is one issue that I hope will catch public attention and grow to the point where congress and the President get involved and pull the plug before it's too late. It has been the "turn the other cheek", "blame America first", liberals that have caused much of the atmosphere that made possible an event like 9-11. We don't need a Tax payer funded anti-american lecture by a committed lefty on the site of the worst single act of terrorism on our own soil.

Call your congressman and demand that something be done.

Thank you, Heroes

Sandy 1b
Sandy is a hero of mine. I have had the privilege to get to know Sandy, as he owns the business property in which I have my studio. Other than a successful businessman, he was an integral part of America's victory in the Pacific theater of World War II. At age 19, he was captain of a B-24 Liberator with a crew of 10 other men (boys) flying 13 hour missions over the Pacific ocean bombing military targets in Japan. I say integral, but he, as well as other WW II vets, would say that all who served were integral to our victory and of course, they would be right. It's hard for us who never served in the military, who sit here in the lap of luxury of our 21st century lifestyles to even fathom the effort and sacrifice men and women have gone through to allow us this privilege. I am so in awe of their efforts, and am so humbled and grateful for their service. It saddens me to realize that within the next 10 to 15 years, the WW II generation of heroes that saved the world from disaster 60 years ago, will be gone. They saved us all from fascism and tyranny. The generation after them fought bravely in Korea and Viet Nam and ultimately defeated communist aggression. Now we bravely face another global enemy, that of radical Islamic terrorism. Each of these generations of soldiers have defined and preserved our freedoms and our culture. What frightens me now is that as our military challenges continue, our will to combat them as a society, has steadily grown weaker. Most of this decline has been a result of the increasing cynicism and subversive nature of the mass media in our culture. All you have to do is watch and compare the military movies made in Hollywood from the 40's to the type of films concerning the military today. The former generation of media producers, both print and film, realized that the preservation of our way of life was worth fighting for. They saw the good in our efforts and did what they could to aid our troops and the morale of the country. Unfortunately, the media of today would just as soon blame the country that gives them the right to dissent, as the aggressors and the tyrants who should be defeated. Our education system teaches a revised anti-American history that paints us as the bullies of the world and the aggressors and oppressors of other cultures. I have no doubt that we would never have been able to win World War II if we had the current media in place 60 years ago. Subversive groups like Amnesty International and the ACLU, as well as outlets like the NY Times, Newsweek, CBS, CNN, and 99% of Hollywood would have done their best to undermine the war effort so as to ensure the success of the enemy. After all according to contemporary liberal thought, "who is to say that the US way of life is any better than Hitler's?" And, "Hirohito and Tojo aren't that bad, lets try to sit down and talk with them." Can you imagine what our current crop of political pundits and columnists would say about some of the stuff that went on in WW II? They would probably implode under the weight of their own self-hatred. I'm encouraged that the men and women in our military today continue to show unbelievable strength and courage fighting an invisible fanatic enemy made up of cowards who hide behind children and who target civilians. These men and women continue to fight not only our enemies abroad but do this in spite of the lack of media support. They know and believe in their mission and realize that in spite of the cynics in the media and even in the democratic party of our own government, the mission is worthy of their sacrifice and will be completed. The sacrifices of guys like Sandy and all the others like him will not be in vain. Good must and will triumph. The best of this country is represented in our military. Thank them, they are all heroes.

Toughen up Wimps!

voinovich
George Voinovich, Republican Senator from Ohio, yesterday, cried like a wimpy little toddler who just lost his favorite toy when encouraging other senators from his party to not vote for John Bolton for ambassador to the UN. This was pathetic! Voinovich demonstrated exactly why Bolton should be ambassador to the morally bankrupt UN. We don't need a softy like Voinovich there trying to be everyone’s friend. We need someone with moral clarity and who's not afraid to be truthful and ruffle feathers if need be. The UN is an organization whose time has run out. It is a nice idea, but when you have a political body made up of some of the most corrupt governments in the world, all getting together to gang up on the US, what do you expect? Of course it becomes anti American, anti Semitic and absurdly corrupt. The US should send the toughest SOB we can find in there to knock some heads around, and I'd start with the French, Germans and Russians.

Similarly, words cannot express my utter disappointment in the so-called "moderate" Republicans concerning the rules changing issue to end filibustering judicial nominations. I expect the "I'm better than you", and the "Who's going to feed my ego now?", attitude from John McCain and the R.I.N.O. behavior of Oympia Snow, but not Lindsey Graham. Lord McCain is converting him to the dark side. These 7 Republicrats who found it necessary to sell their party and constituents down the river for a chance to gain some love points with the Imperial Clone Army, are completely fooling themselves. The Demoncrats are going to filibuster anyone Bush nominates for dogcatcher or custodian not to mention the impending Supreme Court nomination. The "Bobby Byrd, Constitutional Option" (no it's not Nuclear) will be played out sooner than later. Republicans must know that the main reason the conservative base was so motivated in the 2004 election cycle was because of the Judges issue. Bush needs to stand firm on his judges and put forward the kind of judges we expected from him. Not some Voinavich, McCain, "We are the World" Constitution benders that the wacko left wants. So dry your eyes Senator, You'll need them to see the want ads after you've been voted out of office next time. And take your moderate friends with you. They're not needed here anymore.

Thank You Howie!

Howard Dean
Demoncrat chairman, Howard Dean on Tim Russert’s Sunday Morning show, Meet the "DePressed", demonstrated again why Republicans will continue to dominate the political landscape for years to come. This guy actually thinks his ideology is mainstream and is what the country needs! I'm sure there are a few nuts out there that think Dean is right, but come on; do rank and file democrats really think this guy is the answer? Personally, if I were a conspiracy leaning crazy, I would say that Dean is a cleverly placed Republican plant sent to take the Democrats to a place they can never recover from. In a speech done last month at a fundraiser here in Minnesota, Dean mocked and made fun of Rush Limbaugh's addiction to pain killers. Appropriately, Dean took some heat for that. Sunday, Dean defended his "joke" by saying basically that Limbaugh had it coming and deserved to be ridiculed. Nice attitude for a doctor. Thank God he's no longer in practice. He also defended his statement that he hates Republicans! However, when pressed, he did back off a bit saying that he didn't necessarily hate them personally, just everything they stand for. Nice guy. It was also comical to hear Dean continue to claim his "deeply religious" values as being important in his life. Here's a little hint for Dr. Dean, when telling us about how important your faith is to you, you might want to keep that in mind before you preach hate and anger toward others who happen to think differently than you. The majority of us out here can see through guys like Dean, Kerry, and the Clintons in a second. Christian values are demonstrated not talked about. There is no doubt in my mind that Dean is the answer to Republican prayers. The more he talks, the more conservatives win. The country is not ready, nor will it ever be hopefully, for Dean style fascism and hate. Way to go "Deanocrats"! Good choice. America thanks you.

Ann Coulter Gets it!

'NEWSWEEK DISSEMBLED, MUSLIMS DISMEMBERED!' - Yahoo! News
This is a great article by my blonde hero, Ann Coulter. One of the reasons I think she's great is that, other than that she's intelligent, articulate and an excellent writer, the lefties hate her. They can't stand that she has an answer - the right answer- for the plethora of lies they continue to throw out there on a daily basis. In this article she methodically takes apart News"weak", and the obvious bias they continue to display throughout their reporting practices, such as why would they sit on a confirmed and corroborated story of the former sitting President of the United States sexually using an intern, his daughters age, in the Whitehouse, but yet run with an alleged Koran flushing story, uncorroborated, with one unnamed source and that knowingly damages America in the eyes of the world and works against everything we are doing in the middle east? Duhh, could it be that they might have an agenda?, hate the current President?, despise the military?, disagree with the war? Yeah, Ann Coulter gets it, I get it, and the majority of the American people get it. That’s why we're fighting for the survival of our country against the liberal media. Thanks to talk radio and the Internet, the hate America press no longer gets a free pass.
We get it.

Too Much "Freedom"

capt.sge.ppz73.150505193830.photo00.photo.default-380x264
Newsweek admitted today that it had basically made up a story about a Koran being desecrated in Guantanamo in front of prisoners as a means to inspire cooperation from them. The problem with this nice little piece of journalism is that it is solely responsible for mass riots in several countries resulting in the deaths of 16 people and injuries to more than 100. The story allegedly came from 1 unnamed "government" source and Newsweek rushed it out with another "gotcha" gleam in their collective eyes. I'm sure there were visions of Pulitzers dancing in their heads. Only one problem for Newsweek, it never happened! As Americans I think we all realize that a free press is an essential element to maintaining governmental discipline and serves as a voice for the people However, the mainstream media of today too often go way past that ideal and abuse this freedom to advance an ideology that is not pro American nor helpful to our own interests. This recent episode by Newsweek further demonstrates that the American "MSM" is more interested in sensationalizing stories, even if that means to embellish or fictionalize them, in an effort to advance its corporate stock price than just by telling the truth and promoting American interests. I think the MSM is made up of liberals who have swallowed the moral relativism BS promoted in journalism schools and want to think of themselves as having a world first attitude rather than, America first. Let's face it, if this generation of "Blame America first" journalists were around for World War II we would never have won and we would either not be here or we'd be speaking German! Obviously the answer is not to have any agency or group sensor news organizations, but rather for the rest of us to simply not buy their crap - either on the newsstands or on the TV, just shut them off. I think the friends and families of those injured and killed in the riots caused by Newsweek's fine journalism might agree.

You've got to be kidding!

KKK 2
What is wrong with America? The answer is right in front of you! The demoncrats continue to prove to the clear thinking side of the country that they are a joke! They do this by parading out the old (and I mean old) standby, Robert KKK Byrd. Yep, Old Bobby continues to amaze with his irrelevant references to who knows what, and his Biblical anecdotes that, while interesting, have no bearing on whatever the topic is that is being discussed. What's even more amazing is that at about 125 years old and now worthless as a public servant, the senate minority is afraid to retire him because they know a conservative would likely win his seat. Even the bafoons at Move on want him to run again! I believe the man probably did some good in his 100 year career, but come on! Can anyone, regardless of party affiliation, not feel a sense of embarassment when he steps in front of a mic? He's a former big shot in the klan and proudly fillibustered passage of the civil rights act for gosh sakes! Somebody has to have the compassion to send this man home to fish the rest of his days on this earth, and get him off the senate floor. He probably secretly had a competition going with Strom Thurman and he's not about to loose now. At least Senator Thurman had the decency to keep relatively quiet during the last part of his service, and when he did speak, nobody laughed behind his back. The catfish are calling Bobby.

Starve the Hollywood Fat Cats

BarbaraStreisand
Of all the things in our decaying culture that bother me, I think that the concept of celebrity worship sickens me the most. This is most prevalent in Hollywood and the pop music industry. In reality, these people are some of the dumbest, least educated, out of touch morons in the entire world yet because they are too immature and/or lazy to get real jobs, and have a pathetic knack for playing dress up and make believe, they are given some ridiculous elevated status and are revered in our culture as being people of great insight and wisdom. Obscene amounts of money are handed to them to read someone else’s words, take direction as to how to say those words, wear someone else’s wardrobe, look just right because of someone else’s hair and make up talent and be lit and photographed in a way that makes them look better than they really do. And they walk away with the lion’s share of the money and are referred to as the "talent" or "artist". Hardly.

Which brings us to one of the worst offenders - Barbara Streisand - a bonified "has been" both musically and cinematically. (No, a second tier part in Meet the Falkers doesn't count as a comeback). She recently posted on open letter to the American people on her web site which gave us all another glimpse into the level of disconnect these people have from the real world. This idiot considers herself as an important cultural icon to be honored and revered as having value, and therefore, also having opinions of value concerning politics and culture. Obviously, as Americans, we all have a voice and the freedom to state what we feel openly. It's just that it bothers me so much that actors and musicians - who are the dregs of society - seem to think that their insights are more relevant than us lowly simpletons in flyover country. According to Babs, we just elected George W. Bush to a second term because we were too stupid to figure out his clever fear-mongering scheme, executed to perfection to sucker us peons into voting for him. She then continued on to compare President Bush to General Goering of the Nazi SS in his brilliant manipulation techniques. Earth to Barbara and your friends in La La land. Stay at home in your beach front Malibu Barbie mansions, and have your people call for lunch in on the terrace, because you don't get it, and the more you speak, the uglier it's going to get for you. The real people out here do get it. We're on to you. And more and more of us are shutting you off because you're no longer relevant or of value. You and your Hollywood buddies have screwed things up enough, so stay at home and shut up!

Theory of Deception

evolution
Evolution is a convenient excuse to dismiss the concept of God. It is the cornerstone of atheism, and a secularism that has taken control of our culture and education system. It is the foundation of simplistic egocentrism where we worship science and use our finite minds and abilities to place complex information into humanistic little boxes which we call superior intellect and understanding. Evolution makes it possible for us to choose to believe the impossible rather than to acknowledge the unthinkable – that there is more than just us and that ultimately, we are responsible to something bigger than ourselves.
Look around you. Look at the structure of a single cell, look at the expanding universe, look at the existence of love and art; to not see God is absolute blindness and a tragedy.
More and more serious scientists around the world, in various disciplines are realizing that evolution theory is simply not plausible. Robert Jastrow, a scientist and agnostic wrote in his book, God and the Astronomers, “It is as if we have scaled the mountains of ignorance, and we are about to conquer the highest peak, and as we pull ourselves up over the final rock we are met by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”
Specifically, if you look into the alleged proof for evolution, you’ll find that in the fossil record, there are no transitional creatures. There are explosions of life, but no half and half creatures. If evolution happened, there should be just as many transitions as all the other creatures. There are none.
Ultimately, a person has to have a lot more faith to believe in evolution than someone who believes in a theistic view of creation. And it is faith, not knowledge of fact. Unfortunately, for evolutionists, a study of the facts disprove the theory and therefore, should shake the very foundation of a secular worldview.
I would recommend you take a look at the following books, The Case for a Creator, by Lee Strobel, This is written by a former atheist and skeptic, and an interesting read. Also, Tornado in a Junkyard, by James Perloff. This book offers scientific probabilities as to the theory of evolution such as, the mathematical probability of evolution taking place to the extent that it is claimed is like a tornado hitting a junkyard and somehow leaving in its place, a perfectly functional 747.

I guess it would be nice if we could listen to a couple lectures from former acid tripping 60’s degenerates who now call themselves enlightened professors, swallow their tripe and think it all makes sense. But the reality is that those who have fostered this theory on us as fact are no better than carnival snake oil salesmen thinking that the louder they bark, the more believable they are.

Exploring the Dark Side

YinYang
It's been a while since I posted anything. The Schiavo thing kind of wiped me out. The studio has been crazy busy, and then there's yard work - which I use as an excuse, even though I really haven't done much. Time for the townhouse! I happened apon a lefty blog I found fascinating. I started reading it and found myself totally sucked in by how much these people seemed to dispise and distrust all things Republican, Christian and conservative in general. The writer of this blog, Cynthia's Interests, is a grad student and is articulate and intellegent as are the regular contributers to her posts. they all seem fervent and committed to thier ideology, which is absolutely the opposite of mine. So I couldn't quite resist the temptation to enter the fray. I have commented on several of her little articles and was instantly rebuffed, in a very polite and congenial way, for playing and poluting thier sandbox. However, they seem facinated with me as an oddity so I may continue from time to time to offer my insights as to how utterly wrong they are, of course in a like manner, polite and congenial. Check it out if you can, it's a great view into the thinking process of the other side.

Here's an exmple - a recent post at Cynthia's Interests
"I really like these editorials. It shows the sickness that is creeping into the American society and that sickness is called Christianizing this country. I’m really amazed that this is even happening. If things continue at this rate, I may have to become a bible totin Christian, especially since I've read recently that you may be considered un-American or a non-citizen if you are an atheist. I wonder if that also applies to pagans. Things are really beginning to escalate out of control either way you look at it.

"Our goal is a Christian Nation.... We have a Biblical duty, we are called by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want Pluralism. We want theocracy. Theocracy means God rules. I've got a hot flash. God rules."
-- Randall Terry, Head of Operation Rescue, speaking in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on April 15, 1993, as reported the following day in The News-Sentinel.

When so many Republican leaders and their evangelical allies sound so much like Randall Terry, we can only wonder whether the Grand Old Party will ever again find the voice of reason."

My Answer.
Whoa! Christianity as a creeping sickness? I'm a bit shocked. It's intellectually lazy to take something Randall Terry said 12 years ago and interpolate that into another sky is falling scenario in which armies of gun carrying, Bush stickered simpletons with bad comb overs bang on your door checking on how many crosses you have displayed on your walls. Trust me, it's gonna be OK. Randall Terry is intentionally controversial and inflamatory, not unlike some of the kooky lefties out there like Michael Moore. Basically I listen to what these folks say, and then dial it back about 50 percent. that's probably closer to the truth. Terry's big issue is abortion, I get that. I happen to agree with his point of view, but not the rhetoric or means. I think there is plenty of reason left in the majority of us on the right. Although I am working on my comb over!

Half Full? or Half Empty?

glasswater
The last few weeks, with the judicial murder of Terri Schiavo, and the pageantry, grace and beauty of Pope John Paul II's death and funeral, a core difference in people became crystal clear. I don't think that these 2 events happened simultaneously by accident. I think they served as a perfect clarifier for the world to finally see two ideologies or world views that are completely diametrically opposed and therefore also identifying the differences in the people that espouse those points of view. Obviously there are many things that separate us from one another, and I believe that it's OK, and in fact good to have differing points of view to many issues, however there is a base level difference which tends to taint ones entire belief system, and thus all other issues are moved in a parallel direction because of this ground level ideology. This basic building block of life that became glaringly obvious over the last few weeks was that either a person has a theistic or God based worldview, or an atheistic or secular humanist worldview. Around this basic foundation, all people must formulate their thoughts, feelings and opinions on the rest of the issues confronted day to day.

On the theistic side you have people who have a belief that they are not alone in the world, that there is a purpose for their life and that there is something more than just this life. I believe this to be an optimistic, glass half full, kind of ideology. These people obviously would primarily side with the preservation of life such in the Schiavo case, or celebrating the life and accomplishments of the Pope. Similarly, these folks would be less likely to support abortion, and would support ideas and policy that would promote quality of life issues for the majority of people. This could include issues such as lower taxation, less governmental regulation, a fairer judicial system, and free markets. People with a theistic worldview for the most part, have a sense of duty to apply a higher moral code to their life. They have a moral compass. They see the good in all life and seek to make it available to others. With this in mind however, a Theist also has a realistic view of the world, which acknowledges that evil exists and can't be ignored or made better with a discussion group or negotiations. Because of the desire to preserve and promote a higher quality of life for themselves and others, the theist will actively defend their quality of life against the evil that exists as a threat to that life.

Conversely, the atheist or secular humanist, has a belief that we are here as a complete accident and that life is now and once gone, is over. This worldview can't help but make issues like Terry Schiavo and abortion more palatable. It makes sense then that man is but one organism among the thousands of others on this planet and therefore why should man take precedent? I believe an atheist is inherently a selfish and egomaniacal person. They have a problem thinking that there is anything greater than themselves and their own, personal thinking on any given issue. Since a person without a God based ideology must rely on their own sense of intellect and reason, they view themselves as intellectually and academically superior to those that don't share their views. This makes their loathing of Christians and religious Jews possible, and in fact, completely sensible. An atheist tends to view a theist as an intellectual rube, leaning on the crutch of ancient mythology to carry them through the trials of their pathetic, simplistic existence.

Sadly, because the growing chasm between the two worldviews has widened in the past 30 years, there probably won't be any reconciliation or common ground politically or socially any time soon, or ever. If the country can't get together after the most vicious and deadly attack on our citizens in history, unification cannot happen. Think about it: after we are attacked, within a year, Democrats in congress are looking to blame Republicans for the barbarism, and as we launch a war against those who sponsored and planned it, liberals are fighting their own PR war against our own country for bringing this on ourselves, and blaming the president! This basically comes from the fact that one group of people have a God based world view that seeks fairness, justice, security, opportunity and freedom for Americans and others throughout the world, and the other group of people, those without a God based world view, views the world through their own eyes, thus leading to a secular moral relativism and desire to force their view of fairness on others. this fairness is based on an intellectual ideal of forced equality to create a utopian society. If everyone is the same, all will be fair and therefore, there will be nothing to fight over which will result in peace. Of course this defies human nature, and has been proven a failure everywhere it has been tried, but that doesn't seem to matter to those who hold this ideology. Without a moral compass, when facts and history get in the way, you either ignore or change it.

I know that generalization is many times unfair and is a dangerous thing to do. There are many wonderful atheists, some of them, very good friends of mine, and there are terrible theists, responsible for horrible things. But, generalization is still reasonable to do in this case to identify the extreme differences we find today in our country and throughout the world. In all the major moral issues of our time such as abortion, war, taxation, and justice and as in smaller cases where morality is at the core of the issue such as the Terri Schiavo case, opinions can be boiled down to the root ideology of the individual. Ones feelings on any one of these issues, large or small, can be defined by whether the individual has a God based worldview, or an atheistic worldview. Or, in other words, is the glass half full? Or, is it half empty, and since it probably leaks, let's take a hammer and smash it!

The End is Near

Judge Greer
I can't take any more! I made the mistake of listening to a few minutes of lefty radio, and saw a little bit of some talking head news show, both with sniveling, hate filled liberals ecstatic that the courts have signed Terri's death warrant. I felt physically sick to my stomach after hearing their glee at the outcome. The spiritual and cultural divide in our country has reached Grand Canyon like proportions, and I don't see it ever being patched back together. I heard it accurately stated today that we are no longer a nation ruled by law, but rather, a nation ruled by lawyers. The judiciary in our country needs a major enema. These agenda driven lawyers and judges have got to be weeded out somehow. Judge Greer, Florida sixth judicial circuit, who initially heard the Terri Schiavo case, should be impeached right now! If you take time to read ALL the information on this case, including the affidavits by Terri's caregivers, which Greer refused to admit, there can be no other conclusion than that Terri Schiavo has been a victim of a devious, control freak husband, bent on seeing to her demise for financial gain, and an immoral judicial system more interested in asserting power than protecting an injured woman's rights. I worked in a Nursing home for a little over a year and worked with folks in similar and even worse condition than Terri. I have watched people slowly die. In those cases that I was witness to, the entire family, along with the physician, were involved and in agreement as to what would be happening with the patient. The fact that this slime ball, Michael Schiavo, has insisted on Terri dying since he received the insurance settlement and that the courts have turned their backs on the obvious problems in this case, makes me crazy! What is wrong with common sense being exercised a little bit here? If there are questions, you answer them, all the while obviously preserving the life of the person involved.

The Democrats (the Dark side of the force), and the media elites have forever destroyed any credibility they thought they once had as the protectors of the little guy. If there are any fence riders out there or simpletons that vote Democrat just because they always have, this should give them cause to finally face the truth. The liberals in this world are in fact, Satan's Army. I sometimes get this silly image of God sitting on a big throne in heaven, looking down on us, then looking at His watch and saying, "Well, I think it's about time to call it, game's over folks." And where are our great crusaders for the oppressed, the Hollywood elites, who according to them, instinctively have a greater sensitivity to the human condition than the rest of us dweebs from Flyover country? The silence from Hollywood on the slow execution of Terri Schiavo, is absolutely deafening. Sean Penn, Barbara Streisand, Tim Robbins, Ed Asner, etc., they all have nothing to say. These "artists", gifted in the game of make believe, leap at the chance to defend a cop killer on death row, but not Terri Schiavo, nope, they don't want to be seen as potentially siding with anything that resembles traditional values. They might not get invited to the next big dinner party, or worse, the Orca Show! Scum! Mean while, an innocent victim slowly slips away and there's nothing we can do to save her. She is a victim of a decaying culture, as evidenced by a corrupt judiciary and power thirsty liberals who will use any tragedy to advance their agenda. Terri will soon be in a better place, we know that. Hopefully her legacy will live on and forever haunt the sub humans who intentionally put her there, or did nothing to try to stop it. God bless you Terri. We won't forget.

Choose Life!

Terri Schiavo
I saw a pathetic press conference today led by gay prostitution pimp, Barney Frank, Democrat from Mass. and several of his dark side of the force friends, explaining why they would rather sit this one out and let Terri Schiavo starve to death. It was a heart felt discussion to a room of sympathetic media types as to the virtues of the US congress staying out of the picture and why it is good for the country to allow an estranged husband with a large malpractice settlement, have his injured wife killed rather than letting her family continue to care for her. I guess to a modern day democrat, so what, why not kill this woman, if a public display of reverence for life is allowed to succeed, the cornerstone of their ideology, abortion, might be questioned as well. "Rump Ranger Barney", morality expert, said one thing right, that this was a constitutional crisis, brought on by the Republicans and President Bush. He was right about the Constitutional crisis, except it has been brought on by an out of touch and out of control liberal court system. Once again, the Florida courts have proved to be living poster as to why we need to overhaul the judicial system and get conservative judges on the bench.

What is wrong with these people! Terri Schiavo is a living human being with many people who love and care for her. End of story. That is all that should matter. Any healthy society should always choose to preserve the life of the innocent at all costs. There is no certified living will stating the specific wish of Terri to die in any specific circumstance, only the lame recollection of an informal conversation by the estranged and adulterous husband. Duhh! The parents want to continue to care for her. That should be the end of it. Let them continue to love their daughter. I used to work with people who couldn't care for themselves. Some of them had no idea what was going on, in worse condition than Terri Schiavo. What I witnessed first hand was that the lives of those people, in a very unique and significant way, impacted the lives of those who loved and cared for them. Maybe God provides lives like Terri's as a conduit and focal point for the expression and development of love in others. Whatever the purpose, we don't have the right to snuff out what isn't convenient, or use it for political or financial gain. What ever happens, the life of Terri Schiavo has impacted the world in a way that I’m sure she never dreamed of. Despite the desires and efforts of a Godless judicial system, or the culture of death democrats, we love you Terri, and pray for you and your family. Thank you for your life.

A Perfect Night

ZZ
ZZ Top is the greatest blues/rock band ever, period. Oh yeah, Liberals suck. There, I had to get in a little politics to stay within the general theme of the blog. Before getting back to ZZ, I just have to ask, why don't liberals get on board with the overhaul of Social Security reform? these people are really sick! Their liberal posterboy, Bill "the rapist" Clinton was calling for saving SS ten years ago. But in perfect Clintonian style, all fluff and no substance. in fact, the only thing Clinton ever did of value on his own, that wasn't a conservative idea, ended up in a tissue in the oval office trash. But now here is a chance to really do something, and the socialists do nothing but villify the president and try to block any change. They know the system is insolvent. It is just that it is more important to them to try to attain power than try to move the country forward on an issue that will truly help the country. I'm in my mid forties, and I have never counted on Social Security being there for me. It is just a chunk of money that vanishes out of my check each month. Of course if I had the chance to take any amount of that and invest it myself in the market I would jump at it. And I think almost anyone with any sense, would do the same. Oops, I said "sense", that concept seems to have escaped modern Democrats. Man, they suck! OK, ZZ Top. Awesome band! I have seen them probably close to a dozen times. Every show, except one, was fantastic. (The one mediocre show was when they had to play in front of CSN, and they probably were pissed off having to play ahead of that bunch of drugged out, liberal commies. ie. "Dude, save the whales, hug a tree, don't wear fur, ban guns", then, "Dude! You dropped my bone china plate of caviar on my teak table and stained my arctic fox coat! I'm gonna get my .44 and blow your head off!") Anyway, this photo was taken at an outdoor show with ZZ and Uncle Ted Nugent. It was guys night out and we had front row seats. Ted shot an arrow into a large cutout target of Saddam. A perfect night for some great music, and not a liberal in site. Ahh, bliss.

Way to Go, NHL!

goaly 1
Good job NHL! You have successfully proved that it is human nature to never see what you have and be content. The grass must always be greener on the other side of the fence, right? Or in your case, the ice must be smoother. Either way, you have proven to be your own worst enemy. I, and my business have owned season tickets to the Minnesota Wild since day 1. We have enjoyed every season, and every game. We have seats right behind the bench and have enjoyed watching, listening and smelling the action up close and personal. Hockey was finally making inroads into mainstream pro sports routine when egos and dollars got in the way. Let's break it down into simplified common sense for you since it obviously has become too complex an issue for you to resolve. First, the NHL is a business. It is an entertainment business which means that your primary customer is us, the fans. Obviously, if you treat your customer like you don't care about them, they in turn will treat you the same way. Next, like any business, it has an owner, boss, supervisor, founder or basically, the person that took the initial risk to start the business. Also, in any business, there are employees, the people in the business that produce the product or service that the customers need or want. These people give their talents and time to the business in return for wages. For the business to be healthy there must be a balance between the revenue that the product brings in and the operating expenses that it takes to produce the product.
Attention Hockey players! Basic economic principals demand that if you, as employees, take more revenue from the business than what the business takes in, the business is not viable and can't stay operational! Also, the last I checked, no active players have taken the risk to own a team and therefore do not have the right to demand that the owner does not have the right to make a profit from his venture.
Last year, the average salary in the NHL was 1.8 million dollars. I'm no financial genius, but if you can't make it on that working an 8-month season, then you are dumber than I thought.
Well, I guess it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. You guys have decided your own fate. So go ahead, hold out for that extra few hundred grand. I'm sure the additional Ferrari will be worth it. But while you're doing that, your customers are leaving, finding other things to do and realizing that watching a bunch of arrogant, overpaid prima donnas slide around on the ice isn't that important anyway.

Educational Cesspool

churchill
This is why I got so frustrated with college. I went to college on and off for about 7 years and have nothing to show for it other than a transcript with a bunch of credits in a variety of majors, and the emotional and intellectual scars of being hammered on by demented creeps like Ward Churchill. Granted, I must admit that the main reason I do not have a degree in my junk drawer is that I was an idiot who couldn't focus on one thing long enough to complete it. If I were going to school now, I'm sure I'd be doped up with some kind of psychotropic drug to "help" me. But at the time, I just wasn't interested in concentrating. I went to Bethel, a small Christian college, my first year, then transferred to the University of Minnesota for the rest of my educational efforts. I loved my time at Bethel, although I have to admit, I didn't make the most of it. The professors were great, the kids were nice and the social life was fairly healthy. When I left and went to the U of M, the experience couldn't have been any more different if it were in another language. I did OK in most of the classes, but there was a hollowness and cynicism to the entire experience that tainted the whole environment. As I look back now I realize that my discomfort was primarily caused by the fact that the worldview that permeated the University was diametrically opposed to that of my own. I had professors that were telling me things that I knew were wrong, but yet I had to agree with them or face grade repercussions. It seemed that up was down and down was up. The universities in America were slowly becoming cesspools of intellectual bacteria breeding and reproducing themselves at a rapid rate. Over the past 25 years, this has led to the pathetic state that they are in right now where an anti-American freak like Ward Churchill can become a department head at a major University and be given a highly paid podium from which he can indoctrinate young minds with propaganda. Of course this guy has the right to prove his lunacy by saying anything he wants to, but others who disagree also have the right to vocalize their outrage and call for his removal from the taxpayer funded position he is in. You would think that with the 6-figure income that we pay him he'd at least have the brains and financial means to get a haircut. But then again, He has spent his life in educational institutions and probably never took a class in common sense. Unlike Churchill, when I finally left the university system, I majored in common sense and graduated with honors.
